If you haven't considered China as a travel option, you're missing out on one of the most interesting, fast-paced countries in the world! My first time in Asia (and a non-western country) was definitely an experience I'll never forget. I traveled through Beijing, Hangzhou, and Shanghai for two weeks while working abroad at an international leadership conference.
If you studied abroad in college, chances are you likely studied in Europe, the most popular continent for Americans to go abroad.
Studying abroad is such an eye opening experience that I believe every college student should at least consider doing during their four years of university. Whether it's a program through your school, a third party provider, or through an international program at a foreign school, you are bound to have the time of your life.
I can definitely relate to all of these on this BuzzFeed video after studying in Italy in college and returning there after graduating. Watch this video to get nostalgic feels if you've already been abroad - or to get stoked for your program if you're about to head to Europe.
Galata Tower
When I was living in Italy and working as a tour guide, our trips were around Italy or Western/Central Europe. I loved visiting new countries every weekend and each city we went to holds a special place in my heart.
While I was in that region of the world, however, I wanted to experience something a little different. During a weekend off our regular trips, my friend Mollie and I went to Istanbul for a few days.
The architecture in Istanbul is beyond beautiful, and was a refreshing change of pace after Western Europe's cathedrals and castles (though those are beautiful, too).
Definitely head up there when you are in Istanbul!

I can stare at a map for a long time, daydreaming about where I want to go in the world. I already knew that maps aren't quite to scale, but this interesting video shows just how not-to-scale they really are. For example, Madagascar is larger than the UK and takes up the size of a few states in the US. Watch the video below and I'm sure your mind will be blown with at least a few of these, just as mine was.

While scrolling through Facebook the other day, I came across this video that Kelsey posted by a group of guys that compiled three years of travel into one inspirational video. They're awesome! Now I'm just itching to do a round-the-world trip... Watch and you won't be disappointed.
Over the past couple of weeks, I've posted 8 Majestic Time Lapse Videos of the USA and another one of World Cities. To complete this series, I've compiled eight videos of nature in time lapses. The world is a beautiful place, and if we stop to take a look around, we'll see that some of the most breathtaking places are in nature.
El Teide, Spain
This was filmed over seven days on Spain's tallest mountain. Noted as one of the best places in the world to photograph stars, the photographer captured some breathtaking footage while in the Canary Islands.
Yellowstone National Park, USA
The footage of the world's oldest national park is stunning. Scenic views of the park and wildlife are shown through time lapse and make you wish there was more to see than the five minutes presented.
Northern Lights, seen from Norway
Seeing the Northern Lights (or "aurora borealis") is definitely something on my bucket list. It's almost unreal to think that natural, colored lights like that actually exist.
The Nile/Egypt
While most of the video isn't time lapse (there's gorgeous starry night sky time lapse footage though), this video shows the inspiring journey of a man who kayaks up the Nile to the pyramids, as well as exploring some lesser-known, remote parts of Egypt.
Patagonia
"The end of world," Patagonia looms on the edge of South America. If you have dreams to backpack Patagonia, this video is sure to feed your wanderlust.

Part city and part nature, with snow-capped mountains, rice terraces, and more.
