The Luxury Villa Experience in Bali
Tourism in Bali has been booming, which is no surprise as it is one of the most extraordinary destinations on earth.
Bali suits any type of traveler - from the adventurous to the spa-fanatic to those looking for a party, and anything in between.
Bali is fairly inexpensive by western standards, which is another reason you’ll see travelers from all over the globe on the island.
When your money goes far in a country, you may want to consider upgrading your typical hostel or hotel for something a little different…like a villa!
And since you can find some luxury villas for around $120 USD/night or so, when you split that with six friends you’re looking at $20/night per person. Sounds pretty good, right?
Grab a group of friends or your family and enjoy your own home, private pool, and staff when you indulge in the villa life.
Villa staff can cook meals, do housekeeping and laundry, and even provide additional services like a driver and spa treatments if requested.
I did a retreat in Bali last month and we all stayed in a beautiful luxury villa. Here’s a look at our villa in Canggu for the retreat:
Want to book a luxury villa for your stay in Bali?
Here’s how:
TripAdvisor, Airbnb, Google search
Here's a simple TripAdvisor search I did. You'll find villa prices ranging from the more affordable side to decked out, costing thousands or more.
Check Airbnb
Here's a sample Bali private home search (note some of the listings may also show guesthouses, private apartments in a building, etc.)
This villa looks nice and so does this one!
Safety & Not Getting Scammed
This article has some good info on not getting scammed when booking a luxury villa.
Additionally, check to see if you can find more reviews on TripAdvisor. For example, I found balivillas.com through a quick Google search and decided to look for additional reviews.
Staying in a private villa in Bali is one way to experience affordable luxury, have a quiet space to get work done - great for digital nomads! - and have your own space and staff when traveling in groups.
I enjoyed my experience and would definitely consider staying in a villa on my next visit to Bali!
